Ryliana walked out from the small hotel she was staying in and spied a few prime specimens, singing as she passed them. The males followed her, dragging their stunned female counterparts along behind them. She led them into an alleyway and drained each one, feeling their blood flow into her dry veins. It felt so good to feel semi-alive again. She sat in the shadows, hidden, yet able to see clearly, and tried to detect fellow vampires.

Rayne had seen the woman drain the people. She smirked and started walking to where she saw her disappear. She wasn't sure exactly where she was, but she would probably come out if she got close enough. Sensing that she was a half breed, she grinned. She stopped in one spot and watched the shadows, waiting for her to come out.

Ryliana sensed another vampire coming into her hiding place. She stayed back, observing Raine for a few minutes. It wasn't like her to be friendly, or to come out and introduce herself. It was just too...stressful. And she didn't need alliances. She'd lived more than two hundred years on her own.

Rayne sighed and leaned against a wall nearby. "I know you're here." she said shortly. She glanced in the direction that the girl was in. "There's no reason to be shy." she stated, looking at her nails boredly.

"I'm not shy..." Ryliana spat, leaning against the wall and looking at her own nails. "I'm just insociable." Her voice was a bit raspy...she hadn't used it in so long, other than to sing. Her eyes, a bright, blood red, shone from the shadows, allowing her to see Raine almost perfectly in the somewhat dim light. She sighed. The girl was a vampire. Draining her would be impossible. Or, at least, completely stupid.

Rayne grinned, having gotten a response from her. "Why are you insociable? There's no point to it. Its easier to meet people when you actually talk to them." she said, raising an eyebrow. She smiled to herself, knowing she would probably get on this girl's nerves, though she wasn't meaning to on purpose. She just spoke whats in her mind.

Ryliana sighed. She must not have lived as long as her. "I've lived an isolated life. I'm used to being independent." She stopped for a second, observing the long black claws she'd had all of her life. "I'm used to being alone," She added slowly, lowly, more threateningly, without meaning to. She never let anyone in, and that was the reason she was out here tonight.

Rayne rolled her eyes. "No need to get angry." she snapped. She lost her temper easily and this girl wasn't helping. "I was just trying to be friendly." she said sighing and calming down. "I'm Rayne." she said changing the subject.

"Ryliana..." She spat, but it wasn't on purpose. Ry was used to spitting her name out. She'd had to do it so many times that now it was her default greeting. She sank back into the shadows...that was where she felt more comfortable, anyways. Heck, give her a choice between a dark alleyway and a shadow and she'd choose the shadow, every time.

Rayne shrugged off the way Ryliana introduced herself. "So what are you doing out here?" she asked, trying to start a conversation. She sensed the girl wasn't a full blooded vampire. She noticed her back up into the shadows again. Man, is this girl dark. she thought to herself, shaking her head.

"Feeding..." Ryliana replied. She may not be a full blood, but she still needed blood to survive, though she could go longer without it than a full blood. "And you, I suppose, are doing the same?" Her eyes flashed red, and she spied a cat. Perfect...the blood of a feline. She used her accelerated movement to catch it before it could run away, drinking it dry.

"Yeah, same here." Rayne replied, grinning. She raised an eyebrow when she drained the cat. "Wouldn't you prefer human blood or something better then a cat?" she asked, putting her hands in her pockets. She loved the taste of humans and thats all she would drink. She hated the blood of animals.

"I'll drink anything I can get my hands on..." Ryliana replied, tossing the cat's corpse to the side and licking the blood from her lips. If one had lived as long as her, you would know why she said this. She'd traveled alot, and come across towns where there were more animals than humans. She'd acquired a taste for their blood as well.

Rayne shrugged. She wanted to talk to Ryliana but she didn't seem like she wanted to talk to her. She had tried starting conversations but she ended them pretty quickly. She sighed and leaned against the wall, trying to think of something to talk about.

"So...you full-blood?" Ryliana asked after some difficulty. Trying to start one's own clan wasn't easy. She needed to know, because her clan wasn't full-bloods. It was halfbreeds, of any kind, that were just looking for safety and food.
