Tara listened carefully to his description, shocked at the mention of the young boy, it had been so long since then, and she had completely forgotton about the memory. She herself had only been young and her parents had only just moved there, having heard of a vision of evil attacking the village. The time since then had become cloudy though, having not been thought of or dwelled upon since then. Her parents hadn't liked the boy, they had gotten a bad vibe from him from the first time they had layed eyes on him.
"Mathias..."
She whispered as she thought back, but she was brought out of the memories as she saw the movement of the crest out of the corner of her eye, it had startled her to turn and look back at him, she had even forgotten he was there and where they were, and she was still confused until she heard the screams coming along with another crash of thunder.

"Yes, Mathias... that was my name when I was young... Surely you remember... Cordova... " Dracula mumbled out as he walked over to Tara making sure all the beasts that were of the night were gone so he could make sure everything was okay and that she wasnt going to be slain on the spot. "You wonder why I brought you here? To see what I live with, Now you know." Dracula replied as he stepped to the door as he glanced over his shoulder.

Tara nodded, watching him,
"Ofcourse I remember..."
She said, smiling at him and looking around her again, trying to ignore the thunder that echoes in her ears,
"Why though? Why did you want me to know?"
She questioned, following him over to the door. She looked up at his face and saw it, she could still see the little boys appearance there, she hadn't noticed it before, but it was there, just about.
"How did you end up like this?"
She whispered, feeling like she was speaking to the young boy she had met all those years ago rather than the man that now stood before her.

"Human hearts... Human emotions drove me into this, Killing my once betrothed... causing me to go back to the evil I once was. that is what happened to me!" Dracula replied as he turned back looking into Tara's eyes as if speaking to an entire crowd. "I brought you here for your own good, I wanted you to see what I am.... not what you think I am." Dracula added with a sigh.

As he looked into her eyes she forced herself to look away, this wasn't going to happen to her, not again. But this time she didn't want to run, to leave and find her way back to England, live her life as she had done everytime she ran.
"I have always known what you are... I've just never wanted to believe it!"
She said quietly, just loud enough so Dracula could hear her. She looked back up, forcing herself to see the man not the boy. He was different to what he was back then, but something in her mind made her question herself, how different? What had changed in him since then? His appearance had to some sort of extent, she could still see parts of the boy there, but she could also see the man, the man she had grown to love but wished to hate.

Feeling her lost in her own thoughts Dracula let out another sigh as he walked over to the throne, Sitting down in it he played with a small knife that was left there. "Oh?" He replied with a silent tone.

Tara nodded, looking over at him.
"Yes... I told you I wanted to hate you, making you seem worse than I knew you were made it easier!"
She explained, her eyes wandering over the throne he was sat on, she hadn't really looked at it before, her interest more upon the room around them.

"Making me seem worse? And I assume your opinion has changed?" Dracula replied as he set the dagger down on the pedistel next to him his eyes piercing the purple lights to her eyes. The thunder seeming to calm down a bit. "Tara..." He added as the thunder picked up again.

Tara nodded,
"You assumed right!"
She said, her eyes moving back to him. At her name she walked closer to him, forcing herself to ignore the the thunder as it become louder outside,
"What is it?"
She asked him in reply to her name.

Tara shrugged, kneeling down on the ground besides him and leaning on the side of the throne.
"What will I do?"
She repeated, watching him carefully as her choices circulated in her mind. After a few moments she finally reached a conclusion on what she was going to do,
"I could stay here with you... if you want... otherwise I'll have to return to England and my average lifestyle..."

"You'd give yourself up to the night? Give up all you ever learned? Forsake your angel heritage?" Dracula added as he watched the thunder from the outside of his keep. Knowing she doesnt know what she would be getting herself into he sighed.

Tara shrugged, looking down at her dark nails,
"I've lived in the past too long... Its time to move forwards, except what I am, what I have become."
She replied, copying his sigh as she placed her arms across the side of the chair and rested her chin on them, gazing up at him with her brilliant blue eyes.

"Hmm... How am I sure you wont try to kill me?..." Dracula added with a thoughtful sigh as he examined all aspects of her sudden mood change. trying to figure something out.

Tara shook her head,
"Dracula... I've never been able to kill you after spending more than 5 minutes in your company... surely you've noticed that?"
She replied, tilting her head to the side as she watched him, smiling at him.
